My Top 3

Okay, a bit random and oh yeah HELLO! Missed you guys a load but back to the point. This one is a fusion of my top 3 clothing, hair, desserts and well anything that popped up. Personally I think its and awesome  way of mapping out my style or things I'd like to try out. Which is also a nice way to start off the year( Happy New Year My Lovelies!) Off we go!

Hairstyles

The Asymmetrical Bob
I've been weirdly attracted to this as I have mentioned to some of my friends, and I would really think of having this haircut. I like the curly and wild look compared to the more common straight bob which makes it look that bit more edgy. As I have had an odd hair history- from Up to the waist, wavy and long then drastically to the shoulder length curly and wild -  this will look perfect on my shelf.

The Messy Bun
There are many variations of this fabulous look and most importantly they are so easy to create! I'm not a big fan of buns but this is so irresistible. Whether it is a high one or a low side one, they are adorable! I love the idea that you can create a unique look that is also pretty.

The Fishtail Braid
I think you are catching onto the trend here how I love edgy, messy looks and this one is worn by me occasionally. In the picture I love the messed and ruffled look , I don't know why they appeal so much to me. Pairing this with any casual look involving denim  adds a boho flair that is beautiful, throw in a couple of headbands and BAM!

Desserts

Choco Lava Cake
This is a chocolate lover's fantasy, a gorgeous chocolate cake with 'lava' oozing out from the center. These are enjoyed warm and are heavenly.

Sticky Toffee Pudding
STP is not for the faint of heart. It needs courage and confidence - that those extra calories WILL be burned after this pud is eat- no sorry inhaled down. If you have not tried this then WHY!? The combination of a lovely date and muscavado sponge mixed with a rich, gooey and certainly sweet toffee sauce will be sure to blow you mind- or in this case taste-buds.

Berry Crumble
A British summer inspired pudding. The tangyness of fresh berries and the sweet note of the crumb topping is guaranteed to topple you over. The burst of freshness and textures are super, perfect after a Roast Dinner.

Everyday Clothing Items
Skinny Jeans
A classic pairing with anything, this baby can dress up or down. It's such a versatile item and practically everyone owns a pair. I like dark jeans or ripped ones for the rock look, as well as colored ones.

Over sized Tops

First, they are hella comfy. You can tuck in a leather skirt and pair with sneakers to get a casual look or on dark trousers with a a leather jacket for a more formal look.

Checked Shirt

This one is a controversy but J'adore it! It has a southern look to is when tucked in jeans accompanied with a belt. I wear it buttoned up,except the top two buttons, roll the sleeves up, wear over light trousers and with boots. It looks nice with a belt at the waist.

Accessories

Heaps and heaps of bracelets.
This is more a indie/boho look which is also followed by boys but they look cute. Fabric belts, charms and beads can all be stirred into this concoction of glam.

Pendant necklaces.
I personally like these because of simplicity. Something so small can change  a look. I wear pendants day to day - a heart made of shells on dark thread( given to me by my grandma) and a rosary bead(I classify it as a pendant).

Rings
I LOVE THEM! They can style up any look and are so pretty.

What was this post? Just a random one, I'm still not sure why desserts was slapped in the middle- pfft you know what they say? YO- no, not doing that. What should you expect for future posts? Anything really, this blog is not based on a particular theme, it will be a fusion of many. I would also like to wish you guys  happy new year and I hope you had  good Christmas as well! I haven't been posting for a bit because I was so busy, weddings and stuff- not mine obv. I use blogger as a way of expressing myself and opinions so would really appreciate you guys to comment YOUR opinions on how ioveruselol.blogspot.co.uk is. Another thing, I was supposed to post about shoes on here but I thought again, as it would need a whole post on shoes themselves to fulfill my need!

Thanks. Bye bye xx

2 Simple Halloween Ideas
Halloween is the festival of all saints day, when we celebrate the death of saints/people, as well as the harvest, and was originally a pagan feast for their Gods and spirits. The modern celebrations started from the middle ages and are still being carried forward today. So if you're a bit like me and not going trick or treating, you don't have to miss out. Decorating your house can keep you in this spooky seasonal spirit without much effort! So here are two easy things you can create from within the comfort of your home.

One.  We all know that to really get into the feel of Halloween you need to look the part. Is it just me or when you're in your costume , let's assume as a vampire, you get this overwhelming feeling of really being that character and think you're really powerful. While to others you look like like a kid in a costume acting like a complete and utter freak. Anyway.... here's a quick scar tutorial.
©   You will need:
hand/ face cream - I use Johnson's Face Lotion
A red Lipstick/liner/pen preferably dark - Used a shade called Valentine
a black eyeliner/pen- i used Rimmel eyeliner in Jet Black
a paintbrush or if you have one a fine makeup brush.
A cotton bud (Qtip)
*remember if you do use pens, make sure they don't affect your skin.

© Start off by applying a generous amount of cream to the area where you want the scar. This acts as a nice base.
© Using the black liner draw the shape of your scar.Add stiche lines through it.Shade using the liner and blend it using a slightly damp cotton bud.

© Get your red lipstick and dab the brush on it to collect some of the colour. Fill in the middle using the red and apply some on the outline of the scar as well.

© Swap between black liner and red colour to deepen the blood effect- it would be even better if you had fake blood, but i didn't and this worked just as well. Redefine the stiche lines as well.
SORRY! BUT IT WAS A MUST! LOL! BACK TO THE TUTUORIAL!

© When you're happy with the result, you could try it on your face: a scar from the corner of your lip to the base of your jaw or a scar starting from the bottom lid of your eye to the mid of your nose bridge.

These scars add a nice effect on costumes of dolls, zombies or even devils.

Two.Mini Jack-o-Lanterns or how we say in Britain, just pumpkins. This one is really too easy but all precautions about fire hazards and candles apply. It's also really cheap and quick!

REMEMBER IF YOU DO LIGHT CANDLES, DON'T LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED OR NEAR SMALL CHILDREN AS IT CAN LEAD TO YOUR HOUSE BURNING DOWN OR ACCIDENTS YOU DON'T WANT TO HAPPEN OCCURRING!
©   Collect a few oranges, you can use a selection of oranges, clementines, mandarins, satsumas or tangerines for a full on effect. I used satsumas.

©   Cut them in half using a knife - DO NOT peel them or it will ruin the finished product.
©   Scoop out the flesh- this can be used for drinks, fruit punches or just a nutritious snack *Did you know Oranges or any similar citrus family member are high in Vitamin C which prevent the body from diseases and helps wounds heal quickly!*

©   Using scissors or a small knife cut out the details: eyes, teeth and noses. on one half of the orange.

©   Place the other half down on a flat place/ place mat/ non-easy-flammable surface.

©   Pop a lit tea light inside the middle and put the other half -in which you cut out the details- on top. Simples! It's really pretty as well.
I made several but the one above came out not so good so here's one I found.

The tops of the oranges tend to burn so do remember to make a little hole right at the top, and do not leave them alone.Well this post was my longest one so far. I won't be uploading until Monday=)
Bye bye xx
